An Objective Look At Issues Without Idol-Worship

About Me

My Political Views

My foremost influences include Ron Paul, Murray Rothbard, and Ayn Rand. I could alternately by described as an Objectivist, libertarian, Constitutional conservative, or a classical liberal. I'm not particularly tied to any party, though at the present moment I'd be most inclined to call myself a "Ron Paul Republican" if only because the Democratic Party is completely overrun by statists while the Libertarian Party appears to be the least effective political party in the history of the world. The Republican Party, though a disaster at the present moment, at least has a glimmer of hope in the future, considering how well Ron Paul polled among the under-30 voters, especially in the early states.
I came around to libertarianism in late 2007 after becoming intrigued by Ron Paul and his political philosophy. After my introduction to Ron Paul, I began furiously reading Rothbard, Mises, Hayek, Hoppe, and other economists and political philosophers. However, I was still disappointed in the lack of a consistent, systematic, and rationally justifiable moral-political philosophy. Eventually, I got over my initial disinterest with Ayn Rand and read The Fountainhead and then Atlas Shrugged in late 2011 and early 2012. I also went on to read numerous nonfiction works of Ayn Rand's, including The Virtue of Selfishness and Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal. That finally provided me with the kind of systemic and rationally justifiable philosophy I yearned for, which is why ever since then I've described myself most accurately as an Objectivist.

Who I Am

I am a first-generation American born to Polish parents and raised in Metro Detroit. Though I still identify with my heritage and my cultural roots in Poland, I consider myself a full-fledged American. I love the founding principles of this great country and I am a true believer in American exceptionalism.

After graduating high school, I briefly attended college at Wayne State University, where I studied philosophy and economics. I quickly became disillusioned with the so-called "educational" system, so I decided to drop out in order to further pursue my own education and creativity. As Mark Twain said, "I never let my schooling interfere with my education."

What I Hope To Accomplish
My goal is to become a full-time libertarian activist by either participating in a current libertarian organization (such as the Campaign for Liberty) or creating my own political organization.

My Resume
> Knowledgeable on the subjects of economics and political philosophy.
> Well-read, intelligent, hard-working and motivated.
> Volunteer Canvasser/Petitioner and then Youth Coordinator for the Kerry Bentivolio Campaign from Feb. 28th, 2012 to the present time.
> Former Precinct Leader for the Ron Paul Campaign.
